My Very First Amazon Purchase
|Many people are apprehensive to try out internet buying because they believe it to be an inherently risky endeavor. However, once you have mastered the fundamentals required, shopping online will no longer be a challenge for you. It is very vital to have a good understanding of where and how to shop, regardless of whether the shopping takes place physically or online.
The very first time I used Amazon to place an order was in the year 2002. The items that I purchased were a vintage VHS tape and a book on self-help.
When I asked him about the book, my friend who was reading one of Mario Puzo's novels called The Omerta explained to me what the term "omerta" meant. This had happened a few weeks previously. I couldn't get the concept out of my head, so I made up my mind to buy the book for myself.
I inquired about information on how to obtain the book, and he suggested that I try Amazon because our neighborhood bookshop had already run out of copies of it ("sad"). A few days later, when I needed to do anything on the internet, I went to a cyber cafe in my area. At the time, I did not have a cellphone, so I had to make use of the neighborhood care whenever I wanted to do anything online. After establishing an account with Amazon, I proceeded to place my first order, which consisted of The Godfather Trilogy book as well as all three VHS tapes.
Since 2002, I have used Amazon to place a large number of shopping, and I have never had a negative experience with the company, with the exception of the one time that an item I ordered was delivered to the incorrect address; however, this was entirely my responsibility because I had entered the address improperly.
Follow these steps to view your Amazon shopping history if you want to see what you've purchased in the past.
Step 1: Go to "Your Account" and sign in.
Step 2: Select "Download order reports" from the drop-down menu found in the "Ordering and shopping preferences" section.
Step 3: Choose the dates that cover your search. … (I chose January 1 as my starting date, and my end date is today.)
Step 4: Amazon will now begin the process of compiling your report, which could take some time depending on the total amount of money you've spent on their products. The next step is to save the CSV file to your computer, open it in Excel, select the full "Total" row, and then click the Autosum button. After that, you can look at the grand amount of what was spent.
