Sha Sha with the real name Charmaine Mapimbiro is known as one of the authorities in Amapiano music. In fact, she is regarded as the Queen of the genre. With her powerful vocals, she is usually seen doing something fantastic with the Scorpion Kings, DJ Maphorisa, and Kabza De Small.

Early Life
Sha Sha is born and raised in Mutare, Zimbabwe. However, she relocated to South Africa, where she settled and kicked off her music career professionally.
After she was born, her father and mother unfortunately separated. Therefore, she had to grow up under the care of her grandmother. During her stay with her grandmother, Sha Sha found out that she could sing after she joined the choir, and then decided to take on piano lessons for a while. She later moved to her aunt’s house.
She said, “I’m originally from Zimbabwe and was born in a small town called Mutare. It’s a very beautiful, lush green and mountainous area.
“I lived there most of my life but I moved around and lived in various places around Southern Africa.”
The 25-year-old singer revealed that she knew of her singing talent but did not take it seriously until her friends took her to one of the largest radio stations in Zimbabwe. She met Audius Mtawarira, a well-known producer who helped her to shape her skills and also became her mentor.
Music Career
Sha Sha started her career professionally in 2017. After working with Audius in Zimbabwe, the talented musician relocated to South Africa to collaborate with a few singers, rappers, and producers including Rouge and Priddy.
She finally got the level of exposure that she craved as her cab driver introduced her to SA popular producer DJ Maphorisa who also drives. Sha Sha played him one of her songs, and he liked and approved it. They have both been collaborating, and she has been able to meet other top SA artists like Mlindo, and MFR Souls, through him.
